Words to live by.
On my very first day at Asia University, I very wise student said to me, "Thomas, I know that you care about us and really want us to learn a lot. However, it’s also important to remember that many students are very busy and already feel a lot of pressure to learn so many things.  Therefore, it is important to balance how  much you teach with how much students are  actually able to understand and learn. Also try to remember that when students are having fun and enjoying themselves speaking English they will also be learning more quickly.

I thought about what she said and I realized that she was probably right. When learning English or any other language, the best way to learn is by having fun while learning. Therefore, while I usually place a lot of emphasis on learning certain material, I also place a lot of emphasis on making sure that we’re having fun in the classroom. In this manner, I am always sure that at least one person is having fun. And if I’m having fun, maybe, just maybe others are having fun with me and learning at the same time. These are my words to live by.

Hi! My name is Thomas and I was born on an indian reservation in Okarche Oklahoma during the  last years of what is called the Baby boomer generation .  As a child, my life was not so wonderful .
